1583年に金沢城に入城してこの地の礎を築いた、前田利家公の偉業をしのんで開催。6月2日には、金沢駅東広場の鼓門前で行われる「出発式（14時～）」を皮切りに、豪華絢爛な「百万石行列」が金沢城公園を目指します。俳優・女優が演じる利家公とその奥方・お松の方、甲冑姿で馬にまたがる赤母衣衆などが次々に登場。伝統の加賀獅子・加賀とびはしご登りも披露される「入城祝祭（16時～）」や、10,000人以上が踊る「百万石踊り流し（18時～）」も圧巻です。


Held in remembrance of the accomplishments of Lord Toshiie Maeda, who entered Kanazawa Castle in 1583 and laid the foundation of this land. On June 2, the extravagant Hyakumangoku procession heads for Kanazawa Castle Park starting with the “Departure Ceremony” from 2 p.m. at Tsuzumi Gate, located on the east square of Kanazawa Station. Lord Toshiie and his wife Matsu played by popular actors along with armored horsemen with red mantlets appear. The entry into the castle from 4 p.m., where the traditional Kaga lion dance and Kaga firefighter ladder acrobatics are presented, and the Hyakumangoku dance from 6 p.m., where over 10,000 dancers appear, are magnificent sights to see.
