神社の拝殿で、下駄音に合わせて踊る！先祖代々受け継がれてきた盆踊りの元祖

江戸時代の中頃から途絶えることなく受け継がれてきた、盆踊りの元祖とも言われる「白鳥の拝殿踊り」。神社の拝殿に吊るされた切子灯籠のあかりの下で、唄と手拍子、下駄を鳴らして踊ります。三味線や太鼓などの楽器は使わず、拝殿の板床を踏みならす下駄の音が踊りの調子を整える素朴な踊りです。4つの神社で開催されるのみとなっていましたが、近年、「拝殿踊りを継承したい」という思いから拝殿踊りを行う神社が少しずつ復活してきています。

地元民から一般客まで誰でも音頭を取れる気さくさが魅力。和やかな雰囲気の中で昔ながらの盆踊りを楽しめます。

Dancing before the altar of the shrine to the sound of wooden clogs!
The original Bon dance that has been passed down for generations.

The Shirotori no Haidenodori has been continually passed down since the middle of the Edo period and can be considered the original Bon dance. It is performed to the sound of singing, clapping, and wooden clogs under the glow of Kiriko lanterns decorated at the altar of the shrine. It is a rustic dance that is livened up by the sound of wooden clogs on the plank floor of the altar without the use of musical instruments such as Shamisen or Taiko drums. For a while, there were only four shrines holding this event, but more shrines are starting to bring it back little by little as they are wanting to keep it going.
Its charm lies in its amicableness, allowing anyone, from the locals to the general public, to take the lead. Participants can enjoy traditional Bon dancing in a friendly atmosphere.
