東京の中心街を巡る華やかな行列！江戸幕府の庇護も受けた天下祭

隔年で開催される神田明神の祭礼。江戸時代を通じて全国的に有名な祭の一つとして「日本三大祭」に数えられています。5月8日の「神幸祭」では、一の宮・大己貴命（おおなむちのみこと）（だいこく様）、二の宮・少名彦命（すくなひこなのみこと）（えびす様）、三の宮・平将門命の鳳輦（ほうれん）や宮神輿が、神田・日本橋・丸の内・秋葉原などを行進。5月8・9日の「神輿宮入」では、町内ごとの町御輿が巡行して街が熱気に包まれます。また、5月13日には氏子の幸せと日本の繁栄・平和を祈念する「例大祭」も執り行われます。

平安装束をまとった人々を従え、鳳輦（ほうれん）や宮神輿が華々しく行進する「神幸祭」。夕方には御輿・武者行列などの附け祭が追加されます。

A biannual festival held at Kanda Shrine. This is one of the three Great Festivals of Japan and has been famous throughout the country since the Edo period. Ichinomiya / (Onamuchi-no-Mikoto) (Daikoku), Ninomiya / (Sukunahikona-no-Mikoto) (Ebisu), Sannomiya / Taira-no-Masakado-no-Mikoto (Horen) and the portable version of the main shrine march through areas including Kanda, Nihombashi, Marunouchi, and Akihabara during the "Jinkosai" festival on May 8. The streets are filled with excitement on May 8 and 9 when various portable shrines of the town line up as they enter the shrine grounds. The "Reitaisai" festival is also held on May 13 in prayers for the happiness of shrine parishioners as well as Japan’s prosperity and peace.

Horen and the portable version of the main shrine in a procession with people in costumes of the Heian period during the “Jinkosai” festival. Other rituals such as a procession of more portable shrines and warriors are included when evening comes.
