祭概要

120回以上開催されてきた「水戸の梅まつり」は、少し早い春の訪れを告げる花の祭典です。会場は、日本三名園の一つに数えられる「偕楽園」と、全国屈指の規模を誇った水戸藩の藩校「弘道館」。偕楽園の広大な園内には約100品種・3,000本の梅が植えられており、早咲き・中咲き・遅咲きと時期ごとに多様な梅が咲き誇ります。期間中には、さまざまな催しが予定されています。

1841年に開設された日本最大級の藩校「弘道館」では、約60品種・800本の梅が咲き誇ります。水戸駅から歩いて行くことができます。


The Mito Plum Blossom Festival, which has been held over 120 times, is a festival of flowers that welcomes the slightly early arrival of spring. The venues are Kairakuen, which is one of the Three Great Gardens of Japan, and the Kodokan school of the Mito Clan, which was one of the largest clans in Japan. There are roughly 3,000 plum trees of about 100 species on the spacious grounds of Kairakuen, and various kinds can be seen during different times of the season as there are those that bloom early, bloom mid-season, and bloom late. There are various events scheduled to be held during this period.

Kodokan, which was established in 1841 and was one of the largest clan schools in Japan, has roughly 800 trees of about 60 species with blooming flowers. It can be accessed on foot from Mito Station.

偕楽園/電車・バス：JR「水戸駅」より茨城交通バスに乗車、「好文亭表門入口」停留所より徒歩約5分（好文亭表門）または、関東鉄道バスに乗車、「偕楽園」停留所より徒歩約5分（東門）
弘道館/電車：JR「水戸駅」より徒歩約8分
Kairakuen - Train / Bus: About 5 min. on foot from the Kobuntei Omotemon Entrance bus stop after taking an Ibaraki Kotsu bus from JR Mito Station (Kobuntei Front Gate), or about 5 min. on foot from the Kairakuen bus stop after taking a Kanto Railway bus (East Gate)
