精巧な人形を乗せた絢爛豪華な山車が、蔵造りの町並みをゆく祭礼絵巻！

10月14日に氷川神社が行う「例大祭」を起源とし、直後の「神幸祭」「山車行事（祭礼）」から成り立つ関東最大級の祭りです。注目は、蔵造りの町並みを中心に町中を曳行される絢爛豪華な山車。何台もの山車が辻で相対し、すれ違う様は、そのスケールの大きさに圧倒されます。江戸天下祭の影響を強く受けて発展し、その流行に合わせて変化してきたこの祭りは、370年以上の時代を超えて天下祭の様子や風情を今に伝えています。

夜は、山車に提灯が灯って幻想的。向かい合う数台の山車が囃子で競演し、曳き方衆の提灯が乱舞する「曳っかわせ」は必見。

The grandest festival in Kanto taking root in the "Reitaisai" festival and held at Hikawa Shrine on October 14, consisting of the ""Jinkosai" festival and ""Float Event (festival)"", which are held immediately afterward. One of the main features is the impressive floats being transported down the streets lined with storehouse-type structures as well as other parts of town. It is overwhelming to see multiple floats face each other as they cross paths on the street. This festival was developed while being strongly influenced by the Edo Tenka Festival and has evolved along with the trends. It is over 370 years old and continues to preserve the atmosphere and scenery of the Tenka festivals. The lanterns on the floats at night are surreal. The multiple floats that face each other, competing to the sound of music while festival-goers hold bright lanterns, are a must-see.
