鮮やかによみがえる歴史の足音！江戸時代の大名行列を、情緒豊かに再現
Historical sounds of history make a brilliant comeback!An atmospheric recreation of a feudal lord's procession during the Edo period.

「下にー、下にー」という露払いの大きな掛け声に続いて、総勢170名の大名行列が旧街道や温泉街を約6kmにわたり練り歩きます。江戸時代に大名が1年おきに江戸と国許（くにもと）を往復した参勤交代を再現しており、なかでも11万3千石を誇る小田原藩の格式にならった員数・規模で行われます。奴振りと呼ばれる演技を披露する「挟み箱」「毛槍」や、爆音を轟かせて火縄銃を実演する「鉄砲」、威厳に満ちた「大名」など、見どころ満載の行列が往時を偲ばせます。

傘の下で優雅に歩く「奥女中」や、和服をまとった「腰元」。華やかな女性たちの行列にも目を奪われます。
箱根旧街道・湯本温泉街

The feudal lord's procession of 170 people walks down an old highway and through a hot springs town for roughly 6 kilometers to the shouts of “Shitani! Shitani! (Heads down! Heads down!)”. It is the recreation of a procession of a feudal lord traveling between his hometown and Edo every other year during the Edo period. It is presented with the same number of people and size as that of the Odawara Domain, which boasted a scale of 113,000 koku (unit of value). The event is reminiscent of bygone processions with many features, including a Yakkofuri performance with lacquered boxes and feathered spears, loud matchlock guns being fired, and the majestic lord of the domain.

Palace maids elegantly walking under umbrellas, female servants in traditional Japanese attire, etc. Also be dazzled by the procession of extravagant ladies.
