約14,000本もの桜が、街中を春色に！週末に披露される「日立風流物」は圧巻
See spring colors throughout the streets presented by roughly 14,000 cherry blossom trees!
The Hitachi Furyumono parade that is held on the weekend is overwhelming.

市街地を埋めつくす桜に魅了される、日立市の春の風物詩。「日本のさくら名所百選」に選ばれる平和通りや、かみね公園・十王パノラマ公園では、幻想的にライトアップされた夜桜も楽しめます。特に注目したいのは、4月7日・8日に披露される「日立風流物（ひたちふうりゅうもの）」。高さ約15mにも及ぶ山車で、その舞台ではからくり人形の芝居が繰り広げられます。国の重要無形民俗文化財・ユネスコ無形文化遺産にも輝く伝統芸能です。

人形が素早く入れ替わる「早返り」をはじめ、国の重要無形民俗文化財に指定される人形操作の技術に魅了されます。

A traditional spring event in Hitachi City that astounds with cherry blossoms that bloom all over the urban areas.
You can also enjoy surreal cherry blossoms that are lit up at night along Heiwa Street, which has been selected as one of “Japan's Top 100 Cherry Blossom Viewing Sites”, as well as Kamine Park and Juo Panorama Park.
The Hitachi Furyumono parade, which is held on April 7 and 8, is particularly noteworthy.
Stage performances of mechanical puppets are presented on a float that reaches fifteen meters in height.
This traditional performance is a nationally designated Important Intangible Folk Cultural Asset, and is on UNESCO's Intangible Cultural Heritage list.

Be amazed at the puppet-maneuvering techniques such as the “Hayagaeri”, which is a nationally designated Important Intangible Folk Cultural Asset, where the puppets quickly change places.
