The spectacularyarimawashi turnaround is a must-see.

「ソーリャ！ソーリャ！」の掛け声と軽快な鳴り物を響かせて、巨大なだんじりを曳きながら、町々を勢いよく駆け巡る勇壮な祭りです。曲がり角ごとに見られるのが、速度を保ちながら重さ約4tものだんじりを直角に曲げる「やりまわし」。迫力満点の方向転換が決まるたび、見物客から大きな歓声が湧きます。だんじりを飾る精緻な「彫物」も見事。夜に行われる「灯入れ曳行」は、約200個の駒提灯に照らされただんじりを雅やかに曳く様が幻想的です。
2日目の「本宮」では、岸和田城のお堀端を巡りながら、だんじりが岸城神社などに宮入する優雅な光景も見られます。

This is a lively festival where huge danjiri floats boldly race through the streets to the shouts of “Sorya! Sorya!” and a fanfare of noisemakers. The “yarimawashi” turnaround is where the roughly four-ton danjiri floats are turned at right angles at every corner while maintaining the same speed. Spectators can be heard cheering loudly each time this spectacular turnaround is performed. The elaborate carvings on the danjiri floats are also amazing. The “Hiire-eiko” procession with lanterns, where danjiri floats decorated with about 200 lanterns are gracefully pulled at night, is a surreal sight.

A graceful sight can be seen at the main shrine on the second day, where the danjiri floats are carried into places such as Kishiki Shrine as they travel around the edge of the moat of Kishiwada Castle.
