鈴の音を響かせ、装束をまとう馬が行進！美しい田園風景を練り歩く伝統行事

200年以上の歴史を誇る、農耕馬に感謝する伝統行事。岩手山の山麓に軽やかな鈴の音を響かせ、色鮮やかな装束で着飾った馬コが愛くるしい稚児を背中に乗せて練り歩く様は、環境庁「残したい日本の音風景百選」にも選出されています。約100頭の馬と馬主は、鬼越蒼前神社で参拝した後、田園地帯や盛岡市中心部を通り、盛岡八幡宮までの約14キロの道のりをパレード。当日は滝沢市・盛岡市の各所で、馬コや伝統芸能にまつわる各種イベントも開催されます。

6月8日の9時半に、滝沢市の鬼越蒼前神社で参拝してパレード開始。岩手山を背景にした撮影スポットも近くにあります。

A traditional ceremony with a history of over 200 years giving thanks to agricultural horses. The horses in colorful costumes giving off the sound of bells jingling at the foot of Mount Iwate while carrying some adorable children has been selected as one of the “100 Soundscapes of Japan that Should be Preserved” by the Environment Agency of Japan. After worshipping at Onikoshi-souzen Shrine, about 100 horses and their owners parade down a path about 14 kilometers-long to Morioka Hachiman Shrine as they pass through countryside areas and central Morioka City. Various events involving horses and traditional performing arts are held at various locations on that day in Takizawa City and Morioka City.
A parade starts at 9:30 a.m. on June 8th after prayers are offered at Onikoshi-souzen Shrine in Takizawa City. There is also a good photo spot nearby with Mount Iwate in the background.
